Co Curricular Activities in LPS School
We at Lakshmipat Singhania School believe that there is a LIGHT in every child that is waiting to be kindled. It is our Endeavour to develop the all round personality of the child through academics, sports and co-curricular activities and help him achieve balance and equilibrium if life, both in relation to self and to the rest of the world.
The Lakshmipat Singhania School organizes a number of co-curricular activities for the multi-dimensional development of its students. The students are divided into four houses :
(1) Cauvery (2) Ganga (3) Krishna (4) Yamuna
In the 2008-2009 Yamuna was the winner with 325 points and Ganga house was the runner up with 306 points.
Weekly House competitions are held. In cultural, co-curricular activities such as Debate, Drawing and Painting (Inter House & Inter School level), Hindi & English Recitation, Fancy Dress, Singing, Hindi & English Essay writing, Salad & Flower Decoration, Mehndi & Rangoli competitions. The School also organizes annual
Science, Art & Craft Exhibition, Picnic, Educational Excursions and Hiking etc.
Lakshmipat Singhania School celebrates almost all festivals to develop fraternity or the Spirit of brotherhood among the students such as Diwali, Holi, Christmas, Lohri etc.
Sports Activities in LPS School
'A sound mind in a sound body'. Lakshmipat Singhania School provides a large number of indoor and outdoor sports. The school has two big playgrounds. Since 1987, the students have been bringing laurels to the school under all age groups (Under 13, Under 14, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19). The students of the school represented the Rajasthan State Schools Open in Cricket and football at National Level. The Lakshmipat Singhania School has also been participating in the tournaments organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Till date, the school has produced 28 National Players in Schools open. 12 in Cricket, 15 in Football and 1 in Lawn Tennis.
Timetabled Physical Education is compulsory for all students unless exemption on medical grounds is given by the doctor. All students also have opportunities outside the timetable for other sports such as badminton, basketball, cricket, gymnastics, hockey, soccer, softball, squash, tennis and volleyball.
Students are put into houses
: Cauvery, Ganga, Krishna And Yamuna (the Sacred rivers of India), and every year inter-house sports are an important feature of School life. LPS has a good record in Games and Sports.No. of students of school represented the Rajsamand at international cricket tournament in the year 2008.
